Sandusky Cabinets is now GREENGUARD certified Friday, Oct 26th 2012 Sandusky Cabinets announces today that its products have earned GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification issued by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. This means that Sandusky's products are certified to be low-emitting materials that lead to better air quality indoors. GREENGUARD Certification is broadly recognized and accepted by a number of ﾓgreenﾔ building programs, including the United States Green Building Councilﾒs (USGBC) LEEDﾮ green building rating system. The not-for-profit GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) establishes product emissions standards to help reduce peopleﾒs exposure to potentially harmful chemicals. Products that achieve GREENGUARD Certification have met these rigorous standards and help create healthier indoor environments. With children and adults spending nearly 90% of their time indoors ﾖ where pollutant levels can be two to five times higher than outdoor air ﾖ achieving good indoor air quality (IAQ) has become a concern for many schools, homes and work environments.
